The University of Washington Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Task Force. Below is text from the committee's website:
The University of Washington is committed to showing national leadership in tackling the problem of sexual assault on college campuses.
A UW Task Force on Sexual Assault Prevention and Response has compiled 18 prioritized recommendations to address the issue, and funding has been approved for the first set of steps. There will be increased visibility for these efforts throughout the year.
“This will be the year we collectively resolve to end the chronic and abhorrent problem of sexual assault on college campuses, starting with the UW,” University of Washington President Michael K. Young said. “Let us now join together to tackle the problem of sexual assault and show national leadership.”

The Washington State Student Association Task Force to End Sexual Violence. This committee was formed in response to increasing sexual and relationship violence across college campuses, which as research, including my own, suggests is perpetuated in part through limiting, heteronormative gender norms. This committee, informed by the White House's recently created Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault (see link below), and composed of representatives from several Washington State schools, aims to mitigate sexual and relational violence across campuses in Washington.
